I decided that I wanted to see how other people thought of the film, and the review I found mirrors my own. The special effects used in the movie were unreal and at times it felt like you were actually up in space, experiencing it with them. It also is able to capture the audience's attention with its realistic feel. Obviously, what happened in the movie didn't happen in real life, but it makes people think that it could happen, which is not only interesting, it is also chilling. Something like this could actually happen and hardly anyone would ever know about it.
While this reviewer saw the film in 3D, I unfortunately did not and I'm now regretting that decision. It would have been amazing in 3D, seeing all the debris flying at me. However, even though I didn't see it in 3D, it was still unbelievable. The story in itself is amazing and at the end of the film, there is a little bit of symbolism when Ryan gets out of the space suit. Overall, this movie was fantastic and I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in it.

Gravity is a fantastic movie. I absolutely loved it, and I'm not a huge SciFi person. I did have the good fortune of seeing it in 3D (though it cost a small fortune) and it was amazing. Things like Gravity are the reason 3D exists. It was a spectacular film, partly because the whole thing is just riveting, but also because of the amazing technology that goes in to it all. Fun fact: the first shot of gravity was a solid 17 minutes. It's amazing.
ReplyDeleteI saw Gravity as well, but not in 3D. I feel like if I saw it in 3D it would make it seem even more real. It was a truly amazing movie and I am so glad I had a chance to see it. The entire duration of the movie, I was on the edge of my seat since I never could tell what would happen next. I thought it was so interesting that the film made you feel like you were actually there. I have seen quite a few space movies in my life and not one of them has felt as real and thrilling as this one. The parts where the movie showed what Ryan Stone was seeing in her own vision helped to develop a strong relationship with the main character, since we had a glimpse into what she was going through. It also was interesting how the movie seemed to follow every minute of Stone's adventure, step by step. Most movies jump around so much so you don't really get the feeling that you're actually there. This truly is one outstanding movie!
